IMS Team win Tech Fest 0214 at UNISON University Dehradoon


Tech. Fest 0214 was organized by IMS UNISON University Dehradoon on 7th and 8th of February, 2014.
A group of 6 students was sent from IMS Noida. the group included Swapnil Shrivastav, Raghav Jha, Gurjot Singh from sem 6 of MCA, Ankit Vishnoi, Santosh Kumar Choudhary from sem 4 and Abhimanyu from sem 2. The contegent was guided by HOD-IT, Dr. Manju Gupta, Ms. Neetu  and contegent incharge was Prof. R C Tripathi.
The inaugural function started at 10:30 a.m. The function was totally managed by the students of IUU. The chief guest of the function was Mr. Sharad Krishna who is working as HR in Uttarakhand Power Corporation. The guest of honor were Dr RC Goyal honorable Chancellor IUU with Dr NP Jain honorable pro-chancellor and vice-chancellor of IUU.
The theme of the Tech Fest was "FOR THE STUDENTS OF THE STUDENTS BY THE STUDENTS". Then after inaugural ceremony the activities started as per the schedule. 
We took participation in following events: Code of The Day, Software Debugging, Project Presentation and Insomnia. Our team of Swapnil Shrivastav, Raghav Jha got 'FIRST POSITION in PROJECT PRESENTATION'.
The function was well organized and well managed by the students of IUU. The second day of the function included some of the remaining activities and the prize distribution function. The chief guest for closing ceremony was Dr Padam Prakash Bhojwaid Director and Vice Chancellor of Forest Research Institute Dehradoon.
The function started at 3:00 p.m. and came to its end at 5:00 p.m. It was a very nice experience for everybody to be there and after having our food in evening we started our journey to Noida at 10:00 p.m.

World Book Fair 2014

On 21st February, 2014, Students of BJMC visited World Book Fair to experience the universe of knowledge & complete some of their practical assignments related to reporting, photography & short film making.
Students of BJMC were divided into three groups according to three categories of assignments of Reporting, Photography & Short Film Making. While reporting they also interviewed some of the renowned publishers & writers.
36 students visited the fair with three faculties Dr. Anand Pahariya, Ms Beenum Yadav & Vishnupriya & worked under their supervision.
Students left the campus at 10.30am & returned at 4.30 pm after having five hours of field experience & completion of their practical assignments.
Their work will be evaluated under supervision of Dean SJMC & HOD.
Students have been instructed to prepare a presentation within a week related to their learning outcome.
SJMC Department is thankful to IMS Management & Administration for providing required facilities including conveyance.

IMS organized National IT Seminar on Cyber Crime



Institute of Management Studies in collaboration with Computer Society of India CSI Noida Chapter organized a one day National Seminar on “Data Privacy, Cyber Crime, Social Media, Legal & Management implications on corporate governance”
Around 150 students, faculty member of various institutes of Delhi NCR with corporate people have attended the seminar.
Guests of the occasion were Dr. S. M. Bhaskar (Director NTRO),   Prof. M. N. Hoda (Director, Bharti Vidya Peeth New Delhi), Anuj Agarwal (President CSI Noida chapter), Mr. Pavan Duggal (Sr. Advocate Supreme Court, New Delhi), DR. B. K. Murthy (Exceutive Director CDAC Noida).
IMS President Rajeev Kr. Gupta, Director Academics Dr. Kamaljit Singh and Dean Academics Dr. Monica Gupta along with the guests of the occasion lighting the lamp and welcomed the guests by giving them a good luck plant.
Dr. S. M. Bhaskar (Director NTRO) shared that what is cyber crime and how one should keep their secret safe while using online applications.
Mr. Pawan Duggal spoke about cloud computing tool to safeguard our data and is this tool is enough or we should use any physical device.
The event was coordinated by HOD IT Dr Manju Gupta with R C Tripathy.

Report on SHARDA UNIVERSITY MOOT COURT Competition.

Sharda University Noida, on 12-13 February organised its First National Moot Court Competition. Various colleges from across the country participated in the competition. The competition was proceeded in three rounds vis a vis the preliminary round, semi-finals and final. The first two rounds were conducted on 12th February whereas the final round was held on 13th February. The students participated with great enthusiasm and four teams qualified for the final round and the team of IMS Law College, Noida was declared the winner followed by team of DRD College of law as the first runner up and ITM Law College as the second runner up. The results were announced by Justice Rajesh Tendon, currently member of Uttrakhand state human rights commission. The competition ended after the prize distribution and speech given by the vice-chancellor and dean of the university, who appreciated the participation and efforts of the students and motivated them to continue their hard work in future.

आई एम एस में बीसीए के छात्रों का इंडक्शन प्रोग्राम

इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ मैनेजमेंट स्टडीज (आईएमएस) नॉएडा में आज बी सी ए के द्वितीय वर्ष के छात्रों के लिए इंडक्शन प्रोग्राम का आयोजन किया गया
कार्यक्रम का आयोजन स्कूल ऑफ़ आई टी के ओर से किया गया था जिसमे आई एम एस के डायरेक्टर ऐकडेमिक डॉ कमलजीत सिंह, डीन ऐकडेमिक डॉ मोनिका गुप्ता, एचओंडी आई टी डॉ मंजू गुप्ता ने दीप प्रज्वलित कर कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत की कार्यक्रम में 150 से अधिक छात्रों ने शिरकत की
आई एम् एस के डायरेक्टर डॉ कमलजीत सिंह ने छात्रों को नए सेशन शुरू होने की हार्दिक शुभकामनायें दीं
डॉ मंजू गुप्ता ने छात्रों को नए सेशन के पाठ्यक्रम एवं गत वर्षो में आईटी के छात्रों की उपलब्धियों से रूबरू कराया उन्होने बताया की आई एम् एस में विभिन्न प्रकार की छात्र कमिटी का गठन किया गया है जिसमें सोशल अवेयरनेस कमिटी, लैब कमिटी, प्लेसमेंट कमिटी, स्पोर्ट्स कमिटी आदि शामिल है जिनसे जुड़ कर छात्र अपने हुनर को और निखर सकते है
आई एम् एस की डीन ऐकडेमिक डॉ मोनिका गुप्ता ने कहा की आईटी जगत में रोजगार की अपर संभावनायें हैं किन्तु कंपनिया भी उन्ही छात्रों को मौका देते हैं जिन्हें किताबी एवं मार्किट जगत दोनों की जानकारी हो
कार्यक्रम के अंत में छात्रों को कॉलेज के नियम एवं अनुशाशन की भी जानकारी दी गई। कार्यक्रम का सञ्चालन नीतू सिंह के नेतृत्व में किया गया था

Annual Inter School Competition in Salam Namastey

Salam Namastey 90.4 Community Radio Station of Institute of ManagementStudies, Noida organized Annual Inter School Competition “Salam Radio”. Around 150 Students from Setu Foundation, Seth Anand Ram Jaipuria, Cambrige, Indirapuram public school and especially abled kids from Shristi School of Specially abled school attended the event.
Event started with lamp lighting by President IMS Rajeev Kr gupta, Director Academics Dr. Kamaljeet Singh with Station Head Barsha Chabaria.
Theme of this year inter school competition was “Salam Radio”. Students participated in three competitions writing, Painting and Radio Jockey.
First Prize in Painting Competition (junior category) goes to Ananya Jain, second prize shared by Avika Bisht and V Lalitha and Third prize to Laksh. In senior category First Prize to R Sahil, second to Preeti Rathor and third to Asra.
First Prize in RJ competition Junior category goes to Aditya Kumar and in Senior category Priyansh Gupta.
First prize in writing competition junior category goes to Arnav Talreja and in senior category Mayuri Sahat.
Director IMS Noida Dr.Kamal Jeet Singh Congratulated all the winners.
