IMS Noida held Orientation for BALLB Students

Institute of Management Studies Noida’s IMS Law College has organized orientation program of BALLB as token of Opening of the College. The invitees of the occasion were Advocate Dr. Adish Aggarawal, former Vice-Chairman of Bar Council of India and Mr. Rajeev Goswami. The program started with lamp lightening and presentation of good luck plant to the guests as token of honor.
Mr. Alok Agrawal has, in his welcome address, extended hardly welcome to the guests. Focusing on the brief development of the IMS Law College, he emphasized on the legal acquaintance of the students besides text books. He insisted on the presentation and communication with deep study. He told  about the Legal Advisory Committee and Consumer Club and the availability of online journal Manupatra and SCC online and Faculty Development Program along with classes being taken by the Advocates to make aware to the students about the new laws, enactments and repeal of laws etc. He announced to provide free legal aid to the poor and to establish a Mediation Center in the IMS Campus with the help of Advocates.

Chief Guest Advocate Dr. Adish C. Aggarawal, worked with eight Prime Ministers of different ruling parties and have been Additional Advocate General of State of Uttar Pradesh and Punjab simultaneously, delighted to be part of the program. He Congratulated students to study in the quality legal education providing institution like IMS Law College, Noida. He emphasized on the essentiality of law education in every courses, not extensively but little bit, not only to be a lawyer but to be responsible good citizen also. He has proposed to the Central Government in this regard during his tenure which has been accepted by the Government. Comparing Government Law Colleges and Private Law Colleges he advocated for the Private Law Colleges in terms of availability of good teachers. He advised to the students to do sincere study against the heavy expenses bored by their parents. He again emphasized that performance matters not the amount. He made aware to the students about the legal professional ethics, in the violation of which disciplinary action can taken by the Bar Council of India and even License can be cancelled.

Mr. Rajeev Goshwami, exemplifying by Chinese Marshal Art champion, insisted to the students to decide their goal. He suggested to the students to read business news papers to be aware with the daily changes. Further he asked to the students to make legal analysis of the case laws and to enter into debate, quiz and moot courts etc.

IMS Noida organized ‘Faculty Development Training’


Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Noida organized 2 days (FDP) Faculty Development Program for faculty members in the campus.

Around 70 faculty members from different university and institutes like IIMT, IS, ITS, MMH, Hindu college DU, Rukmani Devi, MAIS, Amity University, BI Mesra, ICICI Bank, Uttranchal University have participated in the workshop.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was Dr. Vikas Kumar (Trainer and consultant) along with Dr A.K Shrivastav (Executive Director, IMS Noida), Alok Agrawal (Advisor, IMS Noida) with Dr P K Agrawal (HOD PGDM, MIB)
Program was started with Lamp lighting by the dignitaries of the event. Dr. Kumar welcomed the faculty members and described the importance of data collection in Research Methodology. He pointed out that Interview, questioning, and sampling are the three tools of data collection which makes the research more effective. Dr. Kumar told that size of the sample depends on the scale of the research although minimum 100 samples are required for any research.
Mr Alok Agrawal, Advisor, IMS Noida welcomed all the participants and described the importance of FDP for them. He emphasized that every institute should conduct FDP to update the faculty members with the latest technologies and tools.
The event was coordinated by Dr Manju Gupta Associate Professor in IMS.

आइएमएस में फैकल्टी डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम का आयोजन

इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ मैनेजमेंट स्टडीज(आईएमएम) में शुक्रवार को दो दिवसीय फैकल्टी डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम (एफडीपी) का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्म में नोएडा एनसीआर के शिक्षकों के अलावा देश के अन्य राज्यों से आए लगभग 70 शिक्षकों ने भी शिरकत की। इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन देश विदेश में अपने अनुभव बांट चुके ट्रेनर और कंसल्टेंट डा. विकास कुमार की अध्यक्षता में की गई। कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत मुख्य अतिथी ने दीप प्रज्वलत कर किया।
      डा.विकास ने कहा कि रिसर्च को प्रभावपूर्ण बनाने के लिए सूचना संग्रह करना सबसे महत्पूर्ण कार्य है। सूचना संग्रह करने में तीन विकल्प हैं, जिसमें साक्षात्कार (इन्टर्व्यू), पूछताछ (कोश्चन) और नमूना (सैम्पलिंग) महत्वपूर्ण चरण हैं। एक फैकल्टी के प्रशनों का उत्तर देते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि रिसर्च को प्रभावशाली बनाने के लिए कम से कम सौ नमूनों की जरूरत पड़ती है, किंतु नमूनो की अधिकतम संख्या इस बात पर निर्भर करती है कि रिसर्च किस स्तर पर किया जा रहा है। इस प्रशिक्षण के दौरान उन्होंने शिक्षकों को एसपीएसएस साफ्टवेयर एवं अनोवा वन-वे, टू-वे सहित तथ्य विशलेषण के बारे में भी बताया।
      कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत में देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों से आए शिक्षकों का स्वागत करते हुए आइएमएस के सलाहकार आलोक अग्रवाल ने एफडीपी की महत्ता को बताया। उन्होंने बताया कि आज के आधुनिक युग में शिक्षकों को भी हर रूप में अपडेट होना जरूरी है। जिसके लिए हर संस्थान को समय समय पर फैकल्टी डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम का आयोजन करते रहना चाहिए।
      आइएमएस के निदेशक डा. ए के श्रीवास्तव ने कहा कि शिक्षक एक अच्छे समाज के निर्माता होते हैं। यदि वह समय-समय पर अपने आप को अपडेट नहीं करेंगे तो आने वाली पीढ़ी एवं हमारा समाज की शिक्षा गुणवत्ता की दृष्टि से पिछड़ जाएगा, जिसका परिणाम वेहद घातक सिद्ध होगा। अतः आवश्यक है कि देश और समाज के विकास के लिए हम खुद को पूर्ण रूप से तैयार रखें।
      इस कार्यक्रम में आईएमएस के कार्यकारी निदेशक डा. ए के श्रीवास्तव , सलाहकार आलोक अग्रवाल, के साथ पीजीडीएम के एचओडी डा. पी के अग्रवाल भी शामिल थे। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डा. मंजू गुप्ता के दिशानिर्देश में किया गया।

IMS Noida Organized ‘Deeksharambh’ PGDM Orientation Program

Institute of Management Studies Noida organized 2 days Orientation Programme “Deekasharambh” for PGDM 2012 batch in the campus.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was Mr A. C Chaturvedi Executive Director, Power Management Institute NTPC and the Regional Manager HDFC Mr Pratyush Mishra along with Dr A.K Srivastav, Executive Director IMS Noida and Alok Agrawal Advisor IMS Noida.
Program was started with Lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana.
Mr Chaturvedi welcomed the students and emphasized on acquiring knowledge and gaining competency by learning the requisite professional skills. He pointed out to this new batch of students that they must have an open learning mindset in order to compete in today’s professional world where sustainability is replacing the return on equity model of doing business.
Mr Pratyush Mishra, Regional Manager, HDFC Bank presented an in-depth session on the relevance of students to know why doing a management programme is important for their career. He also explained the importance of analytical thinking for honing up the business skills which are required by any organization for recruiting new employees.
The interactive session with students was very encouraging as the new batch of budding managers opened up and posed questions on the current challenges in human resources along with some elementary questions which were addressed by the two guests in a very easy to understand manner for the students.
Mr Alok Agrawal and Dr A K Shrivastava welcomed all the students in the campus and wish them good luck for the new session of life.
