Sharda University Noida, on 12-13 February
organised its First National Moot Court Competition. Various colleges from
across the country participated in the competition. The competition was
proceeded in three rounds vis a vis the preliminary round, semi-finals and final.
The first two rounds were conducted on 12th February whereas the
final round was held on 13th February. The students participated
with great enthusiasm and four teams qualified for the final round and the team
of IMS Law College, Noida was declared the winner followed by team of DRD College
of law as the first runner up and ITM Law College as the second runner up. The
results were announced by Justice Rajesh Tendon, currently member of Uttrakhand
state human rights commission. The competition ended after the prize
distribution and speech given by the vice-chancellor and dean of the
university, who appreciated the participation and efforts of the students and
motivated them to continue their hard work in future.
